The appointment book has been designed for easy use. Each open
time slot is an active link which allows the user to visually
select an appointment start time. When clicked, the user moves
to the final step and selects their service.
The duration for each service is set by the owner. The
owner maintains absolute control and clients do not guess
as to how much time they will need for their appointment.
This system also provides multi-level error checking. If a service is selected which
exceeds the available time between two other appointments, or which extends beyond the
hours of operation, or which overlaps with a lunch break, the user will be prompted to select
a different start time.

This system organizes and presents information by populating a
graphical interface with appointment data, but that same interface is
also interactive.
The following images capture the critical functions of the booking interface.

The appointment book will only display names and tool tip information
to the owner and any managers that have been assigned to that business.
Names and phone numbers can be entered for call in clients.
The tool tip will include the name of the person who booked the appointment,
the appointment notes, the client's phone number and the nature of the appointment.
If a name is not entered then the name displayed will default to the person who books the appointment.
If you allow client booking then only those clients who you approve can access your appointment book.
When a client views the appointment book they see either open time slots or
the word booked. The client cannot see the names of other clients.
The client will simply click an open time slot to select an arrival time
and proceed to the final step.
The client does not set the duration of their appointment. The owner sets
the time duration for each service from within their control center.
If the client selects a service that extends beyond your hours of operation
or which overlaps another appointment they will be prompted to select a
different arrival time.
There are two ways to keep your appointment book private. One method is to select a security option which requires everyone to apply for access. Another way is to hide your columns for internal use only.
You can use one or both of these methods to keep your records private, but hiding a column has an additional function. If you operate a business in which you can service two clients simultaneously, then you can provide online booking using one column while retaining the other column for booking coincidental appointments.
This system is scalable and flexible and can meet the most demanding scheduling needs with absolute accuracy. |
