Appointment Book Functions

The key to a successful online appointment system is that users must be presented with a concise set of tools. This is an advanced server based application with administrative tools, an intuitive page flow and multilevel error checking.

This system presents structured appointment information in daily and monthly arrangements. All of the data you will need for time critical scheduling is well organized and clearly presented using these two familiar formats.

This system also provides clients with the tools they need to confirm their own appointments online and without assistance.

Unlike the common web form, appointment data is entered using a graphical interface. That interface allows you and your clients to visually select a start time and book appointments in just two clicks.

The center portion of the navigation bar moves the appointment book forward and backward one day at a time. An upper right date menu can be used for jumping to any date.

Go to any date and click an open time slot to select a start time. Time slots which have past will display the following image and cannot be selected.

ROWS & COLUMNS

The appointment book can have any number of columns and will display up to 8 columns per page view. Columns can be titled to match the names of technicians or to reflect a specific service.

The title of any column that has been hidden for internal use will be highlighted with a green background and can only be seen by the owner.

The left column will display the hourly segments in 15, 20, 30 or 60 minute intervals.

COMPANY BANNER

Your 360x60 pixel business banner appears at the top of the appointment book and other business related pages. It helps to reassure clients they are on the correct path.

UPPER MINI CALENDARS

The appointment book will display a mini calendar at the upper left and upper right corners for quick date referencing. In the live appointment book each day is linked and will move the appointment book to that date when clicked. By default the appointment book will always open at the current date.

BUSINESS HOURS

The hours of operation, including lunch breaks and partial days closed, can be set for each day of the week. These weekly hours can then be overridden for any day of the year.

If a business is closed for an entire day then their custom CLOSED THIS DAY MESSAGE will replace the appointment book for that day.

THE UPPER TABS

The upper tabs display according to the member's status.
